1. Who we are
Gbese ID (“we”, “us”) operates TrustTech infrastructure that lets individuals and participating businesses record, confirm and reference everyday obligations. Your phone number is your Trust ID. We are the data controller of your Trust Profile.
2. What we collect
- Your phone number, name, and a 4-digit PIN you set.
- Obligation records you log or confirm — including counterparty, amount, due date, and status.
- Access requests made against your Trust Profile, and your consent decisions.
- Device, network and delivery metadata needed to run the service.
3. Consent-first sharing
Your Trust Profile is never shared with another person or business without your consent. Any lookup triggers an SMS alert and requires you to tap Approve before your score, evidence or suggested obligation limit is shown. Every access is logged and visible to you, and you may revoke it at any time.
4. How we use your data
To operate the service, calculate your Trust Score, generate suggested reference limits, verify your identity, prevent fraud and abuse, deliver SMS notifications, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
5. Our lawful basis
We rely on your consent (for sharing with third parties and marketing), the performance of a contract with you (to run the Trust Profile you subscribed to), our legitimate interests (to prevent fraud, secure the service and improve it), and legal obligations where they apply.
6. Sharing with participating businesses
When you grant access, the requesting business receives only what is necessary for their decision — typically your Trust Score, score band, count of confirmed records, and a suggested obligation limit specific to that lookup. Raw records and counterparty details are not shared unless you explicitly opt in.
7. Retention
We retain confirmed records for as long as they are useful to your Trust Score and for a reasonable period thereafter to defend against disputes, meet legal duties and prevent abuse. Disputed records that are resolved in your favour are removed from scoring. You may request deletion of your Trust Profile, subject to legal and anti-fraud holds.
8. Security
Access to the Trust Profile is protected by your 4-digit PIN and phone-number verification. We use industry-standard transport security, restrict internal access, monitor for repeat-pair and other abuse patterns, and require mutual PIN confirmation before any record counts.
9. Your rights
You may access, correct or export your data, withdraw consent for third-party sharing, revoke prior access grants, raise a dispute against any record, and request account closure. Contact

10. Children
The service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified by SMS to your registered number and posted here with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of the service after such notice constitutes acceptance.
