By creating a Trust Profile, logging an obligation, confirming a record, or otherwise using Gbese ID (“the service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please stop using the service.

Gbese ID is a TrustTech platform that lets individuals and participating businesses record, confirm and reference everyday obligations. Your phone number is your Trust ID. We are not a bank, lender, credit bureau, debt collector, or guarantor. A Trust Score and any suggested obligation limit are references — never a guarantee of repayment or a promise of credit.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use Gbese ID. By using the service, you confirm you meet these requirements. Businesses using the service must be legally registered or operating lawfully in their jurisdiction.

Your Trust Profile is protected by your phone number and a 4-digit PIN. You are responsible for keeping your PIN confidential and for all activity carried out with it. Notify us immediately if you suspect your account has been accessed without your permission.

Every obligation on Gbese ID is a two-sided handshake. A record has no effect until the other party confirms via SMS. You agree that you will only log obligations that reflect a real, agreed arrangement between you and the other party. Logging false, misleading, or malicious records is a violation of these terms.

Confirming records is always free. Logging obligations requires an active monthly subscription at the fee shown in the app. Fees are billed once per month, non-refundable except where required by law, and can be cancelled at any time. If a subscription lapses, logging is paused; confirming and settling existing records remains free.

Periodic member benefits — including the 5-month funding rounds and the monthly Gbese Spotlight — are discretionary. Selection is based on Trust Score integrity, activity and community standing. These benefits are not credit offers, loan commitments, financial advice or a guarantee of any outcome. Gbese ID may adjust, suspend or discontinue any benefit at any time.

Your Trust Profile is never shared with a third party without your explicit consent. Any lookup by a participating business triggers an SMS alert and requires you to tap Approve before your score, evidence or suggested limit is shared. You may revoke a previous access grant at any time.

If a record shouldn't exist or is inaccurate, you may raise a dispute directly from your Trust Profile. Disputed records are paused from scoring while a real person reviews the case, typically within 48 hours. Decisions are made in good faith based on the evidence available.

You agree not to: (a) impersonate another person or business, (b) log obligations that are fictitious, coerced or unlawful, (c) harass, intimidate or defame any other user, (d) attempt to bypass security, scrape the service, or reverse-engineer any part of it, or (e) use Gbese ID for money laundering, fraud, or any other illegal purpose. We may suspend or close accounts that breach this section.

Gbese ID records and references obligations — it does not collect debts on your behalf. Payment happens between you and the other party through your normal channels. Using the service to threaten, harass or unlawfully pressure another user is strictly prohibited.

Your use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, how we use it, and how consent works. By using Gbese ID, you agree to that policy.

We work hard to keep Gbese ID available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features, pricing and benefits may change over time. Material changes to these terms will be posted here with a new “last updated” date, and where appropriate we'll notify you by SMS.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gbese ID is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the service, including any decisions you or a third party make based on a Trust Score, record, or suggested obligation limit. You use the service at your own discretion and risk.

You may close your Trust Profile at any time by contacting us, subject to legal and anti-fraud holds. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, engage in fraud, or otherwise put the community at risk.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising under or in connection with them will be resolved by the competent courts of Nigeria, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you under local law.
